I am terribly sorry about this, but this will be my last day on the Juicing Fast.  Over the next two days, I have a number of things to do, like shopping for my trip to London. So juicing will be the last thing I think about. I’ll post a final message this afternoon at the end of the day.

So I thought I’d bulk up todays breakfast. So here it is.  I really like the color.  I think the peach and apple helped tone down the red of the Strawberries. See the picture on the left.

I’ll check the recipes from the website and see if I can’t mix it up a little and try something new.  I know I said I would, and what with work, I just haven’t had the chance to try anything. Sorry…

Good morning all!

Another beautiful day here in sunny, Philadelphia. So how strange is this, I watched Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead about 2 weeks ago.  So I am at my Physiotherapy session, and talking to the therapist about fitness and losing weight.  I mention that I have started this diet to help reboot the body, and he says yeah I watched that movie by Joe Cross 2 weeks ago! I have not met anyone else who has watched it, not in day-to-day life anyways. So he is talking a vacation at the shore in the next week.  After he comes back from his vacation, he’ll be taking the 15-Day Juicing challenge.  So I told him about my experience. That was pretty awesome.

So back to today, no updates last night, I actually slept well. I am going to stick to the juices for the rest of the day. I was fuller for longer last night after the sautéed vegetables, but I do not believe it has the same effect as the juices. So Kale leaves are back in the program. I am hoping to finish the bag I have! This morning was started off with a bowl of fruit, just strawberries and a nectarine.

The photo is a lot clearer, but that’s to do with me using a different camera.  I normally use my phone to take the photo, but today I forgot.  Thankfully though I had taken this with my camera before I stirred it to mix the flavors.

Although I love strawberries, I think I have had enough of them.  I seem to have them all the time.  I’ll have to find a new fruit to add to the morning juices. I think the Pineapple and the Papaya will need to be brought in. Here’s this morning recipe, it’s strong, but it’s more to do with the strawberries added in:

  • 2 Carrots
  • 2 Kiwis
  • 11 Strawberries (I ran out, would have been 12)
  • 2 handfuls of Blueberries

After four and a half hours sleep I am up and running! As I said last night, I had to start off strong, so after getting ready for the day, started off with a bowl of fruit.  Not a big bowl, mind you. Just a bowl, 6 Strawberries, 2 Kiwis and 2 pieces of Papaya.

Now I needed a fix and decided it was time for a juice.  Midmorning, I am out of Apples, Blueberries and Strawberries.

NOTE: Green Apples are a staple for every juice. But make sure you pick Granny Smith Apples not Golden Delicious.

It’s alright though, as I have lunch soon, in an hour, I’ll pop to the shops to pick up some fruit. But I am thinking of adding Passion Fruit to the list of groceries and Lychees as well.  Oh and Coconut Water if I can find it!

Feeling a little tired, but that’s from the lack of sleep.  I think I’ll be fine once I have had my lunch juice.

Welcome Bloggers, to my final week!

I have 7 days left including today.  Yes I know if I had been enjoying this I would not be counting down the days. But the one thing I am really looking forward to eating when I am finished is some Thai food! Although saying that, I will be breaking my fast on Sunday morning with Oats and juice. Nice!

Back to today, so this morning woke up felt great.  I find myself falling into a deeper sleep.  It’s great seeing as I am such a light sleeper. Usually if I wake up during the night, I end up spending some time getting back to sleep.  Now I roll over and zzzzzzzzzz. It’s great!

I feel awesome today. A little hungry at the time of writing this, but I have yet to have my mid morning snack.  Which I’ll do once I publish this post. Seeing as I have apples and cherries left over from yesterday.  I think that is what I’ll be having!

The juice this morning, was so tasty and a great color, here’s the recipe:

Goooooooooooood morning Bloggers!

I tried the Good Morning Vietnam intro, doesn’t quite work in text form. Ah well.  So the second week! I can confirm a couple of things now.  So since starting this Juicing fast, I have managed to lose 7lbs of gunk.  Which is 1lb a day! Awesome!  I’ll need to make sure I eat properly or have food ready for when I do my exercises.

Started off well this morning, small bowl of strawberries, whilst I got ready for the day.  Then off to juice! I had forgotten to buy Carrots, and so this recipe is Carrot-less.  Which I actually didn’t want to happen.  I LOVE Carrots.  In a juice, they add some depth of flavor.

Also, I had some Kiwi’s, they would have been good in this mornings juice.  Kiwi and Strawberry juice is amazing! I think I have had it in London.  Also, there are loads of fruit juice places in NYC. You can get fresh juices on the go.  Which is great for a healthy snack whilst you shop.

Recipe:

  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 green Apple
  • 1 handful of Blueberries
  • 1 Orange
  • 2 sticks of Celery
  • 6 Strawberries

Juicing Day 7 – Breakfast (jointhereboot.com)

Plenty of things to do this morning, as I am in the middle of preparing for my upcoming wedding (CANNOT WAIT!!!).

We were in a rush as my nephew wanted to go to the Market early and I had to get the grocery shopping done early before all the good stuff was bought, so my cousin and I made juice for the whole family. I mean a lot of juice! I think we ended up with about 54 Ounces of juice. It tasted so good though, the mix of Pineapple and Watermelon really helped add a fresh taste to it.

Sadly, I could take a photo of the froth either as we were transferring the juice from one container to the other.  Missed out, this was a massive batch! Tasted really good though, the mix of citrus fruits mixed with the carrot juice was great! I highly recommend this one…

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay 6!

Sorry, I had an Oprah moment! Yes, day 6, made it past the 33% marker! I do not have much left to do now.  I have to up the exercise regime though, as I think I have hit a plateau.  Although saying that, I did some research and there is a stage during the diet where you plateau, because the body has managed to get rid of all the crap.  So this could mean I am clean, but I have said I will be doing the full 15 days, so I’ll continue, as I AM a man of my word.

So the drink, tasty again! Same as yesterday but the only difference is the green Apple was replaced with a red Apple. I am fasting running out of vegetables and fruit!  Tomorrow will be a big shopping day.
